High Technology

The physicians of Radiologicum Munich are qualified experts in the fields of radiology (including neuroradiology) and nuclear medicine. In addition to the physicians’ experience, medical-instrument technology also plays an important role for the diagnostic accuracy.

We have been pioneers in the application of innovative technologies for years. To ensure safe and gentle diagnosis, one of our core principles is to work with the leading, state-of-the-art technologies.

Safe diagnosis owing to state-of-the-art technology

Our practices are equipped with ultra-modern medical-technology apparatus. Our state-of-the-art equipment provides outstanding image quality allowing detailed insights into almost all tissue and organs. We employ a medical physicist for the permanent technical optimisation of the highly complex devices.

Our highly trained staff guarantees an optimal investigation process. As a result, our doctors are able to make accurate diagnoses and create the best conditions for a targeted therapy. In addition, our highly efficient technology contributes substantially to shorten the examination time, and therefore your stay in our practice.

Gentle examination due to innovative technologies with low radiation

Due to the rapid development in the past few years, the apparatus used in our practices are nowadays also better tolerated than ever before. Good examples of this include the ultra-modern Multislice Computer Resonance Imaging device, which provides detailed 3D images of the inside of the body within seconds and with lower radiation; or the Microdose Mammography, which requires only a fraction of the radiation used by older equipment due to innovative detector technology. The exposure to radiation in modern Nuclear Medicine has also reached its lowest level ever due to modern camera technology.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) does not make use of X-rays, and therefore does not involve radiation exposure. The high-resolution 3-Tesla Magnetic Resonance Tomography, also used in our practices, sets new benchmarks especially in the examination of the brain, nerves and joints. Furthermore, for patients with metallic implants, and those suffering from claustrophobia, special MRI techniques are available such as a low-level MRI unit, and an open MRI unit.

Ultra-modern communication strategies

Not only are our examination methods completely digitalised, but we are also exceptionally well interconnected. A modern image-data high-speed network facilitates the good coordination and rapid communication of our team, enabling us to easily exchange images amongst our practices within seconds – an important prerequisite, for example to obtain a second opinion from a colleague. Our shared digital archiving system enables us to find older recordings simply and quickly, and to compare them with new images. This enhances diagnostic certainty even more.

Our common Telephone Switchboard is in charge of giving expert advice and rapid assignment of appointments. The switchboard will also quickly and competently pass you on to the appropriate person as needed.
